Hello, and thanks for taking the time for this question. I am about to buy a new desktop featuring the AMD 1090T [6 x 3.2 ghz], a Sapphire HD6990 and 8GB on ram. It also comes with a normal 1GB SATA3 harddrive. Reading the reviews of the CPU though, I got a little worried that I won't be able to play the latest games on max graphics, which is what I aim for on my new desktop. Also, it said to come with a 750watt powersupply, but will this always be sufficient?|||The 1090T is a good cpu. It competes with similarly priced intel offerings (don't think it will match up against an intel 6-core proc...because there it is outclassed) It will not create a bottleneck for the video card. If you were planning on doing a lot of video encoding/editing, then it would create an issue. In that case, a higher-end intel cpu would be the way to go. For gaming, though, the 1090T will do the trick.
Even though the 6990 can be a power hog at times, a good 750w psu will be enough to handle the load. You wouldn't want to add a second gpu to that, but one wil run just fine.|||if that's all the parts plus a high end mobo its gonna work. and no the 1090T won't bottle neck your 6990
